Waiting

Seito Sanzen sat at the local bar, moving the bendy straw around the inside of the glass filled with... something. She couldn't remember. It didn't have alcohol in it that was for sure. She needed something to do. No one was hiring mercenaries at the moment, and she only had enough Gil for at least a week's stay at the Kalm Inn. Oh well. Maybe she could ask the local shops if they needed anything transported. They trusted her well enough with the cargo. She paid the bartender for the drink, and left the bar, exiting the building, and headed towards the east side of town where the shops where.

She placed her hands on the back of her head, fingers entwined, passing people without a care. She went up the stairs, and entered the Item Shop first. Nothing. Weapon Shop. Nothing. Materia Shop. Nothing.

"This sucks..." she mumbled.

A discarded newspaper caught Seito's eye that laid on the stone stairway. Normally she would pick it up and throw it away without a second glance, however, what was on it caught her interest. She stepped down quickly, and picked it up, looking at the date first. July 15th. That wasn't too long ago. It protrayed the town of Nibelhiem with an article underneath.

Several days ago, a group of workers entered the Nibelheim Mansion to fix it up and make into a larger inn for travelers. However, when the workers entered they were attacked by monsters, possibly experiments left by Shinra Co. . Years before the Nibelheim massacre, scientists and engineers tiredlessly worked on something that was kept from town. The monsters are possibly guardians from whatever is still kept down there. Mercenaries, fighters, or seekers of any kind are welcomed to go into the mansion, and will be rewarded for their findings. - Reporter Hano Hayne

"Looks like I have something to do first. Maybe that mansion holds some goodies or information regarding Maria," she whispered to herself. Crumpling up the newspaper, she headed back to the inn to get her backpack to check if she needed anything. Once back in her room she opened her azure shaded backpack, and checked its contents. Three Tents, eight Potions, four X-Potions, two extra sets of clothing, and another pair of Work Gloves just in case. 4000 Gil was in the wallet. Already set, she grabbed her pack, slinging it around her right shoulder, and headed downstairs to the inn owner. Checking out, she exited the building. Next stop: Chocobo Farm then Nibelheim Mansion.

Vincent sat upon the roof of building, his right leg laying across the roof and his other leg kneed up, his left arm laying across it. He sat there, feeling the breeze blow across his face. In his other hand held the newspaper that Seito hand thrown away. Having already read what it said. He holds it, rolled up in his right hand.

"Nibelheim Mansion..." He says under his breath.

Vincent watches Seito exit her building.

"Hmm..."

Vincent stands up and disappears. The newspaper falling in front of Seito.
